FAQ'S

How can I contact you?
You can find our details on the contact page. All bookings are managed via our online booking system - you can access and reschedule your bookings by  becoming a member and logging in to view your account.

How do I get an appointment as a new client?
Please create an account, choose your service and follow the 'book now' buttons to view our diary/availability. Join our mailing list to be notified when we open the diary for appointments.  We do this periodically, and will always notify our mailing list subscribers of an appointment release in advance. Please complete your booking via our website, upon completion we will send you an email with confirmation of your booking. If there are no appointments showing when you look this means we are fully booked. All new clients ages 8+ must book a Curl Transformation for their first appointment with us.

 

As a new client which service can I book?

All new clients must book the Curl Transformation for their first appointment. The exception to this rule is children aged 7 and under who may book a Dry Curly Cut for their first visit if parents feel this is the best option. Please contact us if you require any adjustments to our services, we are happy to help. Our Curl Transformation service includes our Dry Curly Cut followed by our Curl Revival, this is our wash, style & dry. We also include a consultation which really helps us get to know you and your hair - we will discuss your past curl experiences along with your future goals. Our unique curly cut is tailored to your hair textures in order to allow your curls to sit well and create your perfect shape. We then cleanse and condition your hair using our backwash beds, before styling and drying your hair in our reclining chairs. We will provide you with personalised advice regarding the best product selection for your hair so you can continue your curl routine from home.


Are there ever any additional appointments?
Appointments are released based on availability. We will always email in advance to notify you of an appointment release.


Can I book an appointment for a few months in advance?
Our diary is open for a couple of months in advance. Please join our mailing list to receive updates regarding appointments. If you would like to book an appointment for a special occasion you have coming up but the date isn't available to book, please contact us and we will do our best to organise something. Please use the contact section with any other queries – we will do our best to accommodate you.


How can I book an appointment as an existing client?
All our appointments are available to book online. If you are struggling to make an appointment via our booking system please contact us via the contact page  - please let us know the service/treatment you would like along with your available dates and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do you offer services for children?
Yes children are more than welcome. Please view our services page for further details.


Do you offer colour services?
At the moment we don't offer any colour services.


Where is the nearest parking?
There is 'Pay to Park' carpark available use to the rear of the salon. There are also free carparks further along Town Street where there is on street parking. Horsforth train station is less than 1 mile away, which is on a direct line from Leeds City Station. There are also a number of bus routes which have stops very close to the salon. Our address is 66 Town Street, Horsforth, Leeds, LS18 4AP.

 

Do you have wheelchair access?

Yes, we have a ramp to our front door and can provide all our services from your wheelchair if needed. Please contact us to discuss any adjustments if required. We are located in an old building and unfortunately our bathroom isn't wheelchair accessible.


How should I prepare for my appointment?​

Please arrive for your appointment with:
  • Clean, tangle free, dry hair. Hair must be 100% dry.

  • Loose hair - No bobbles, clips, twists, buns, ponytails or anything that will disturb your natural curl pattern.

  • No heavy styling products, like mousse/oils/butters/gels. Product free hair or styled with a curl cream is OK.

 

We allow plenty of time for each appointment however we do ask that you hair is in a workable state when you arrive, it is imperative that you follow the above advice. If your hair hasn't been prepared as per our guidelines and/or requires extensive detangling we may not be able to proceed with your appointment.  If we can find a work around we will, however additional service charges may apply. If we have to reschedule your appointment you will be liable for the full cost of the appointment which must be paid before another booking will be accepted.

 

We  send confirmation emails upon booking an appointment, please read this email as it will include  details regarding preparation for your appointment.

 

We can work with natural curly hair only,  whether that be wavy, curly, kinky or coily; this means that unfortunately we cannot offer our services if your hair has been chemically treated (eg. relaxers, perms, Brazilian blow waves etc).  If you're unsure what this means and whether your hair is suitable, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
